Deprivation is a major factor in the borough, with the lowest household incomes in London. The mission is to provide food assistance to those in need within the community.
To ensure that people achieve self-sufficiency by providing food to individuals or families regardless of race, age, disability, gender, immigration status, national origin, sexual orientation or religious belief.Currently, we are one of the food donation centres in the borough and working together with Barking & Dagenham Community Voluntary Service for effective distribution of none perishable food among the needy in the community.
At the moment, our food collection centre is Furze Children’s Centre at Chadwell Health and we hope to liaise with some retail stores in the community to increase our collection centre and be able to make more positive impact in the community. Moreover, we have put in place the necessary process to ensure that the food donated gets to the right people.
